Our social media venture to find Wichita’s Most Liked BBQ is halfway done. The tournament bracket featured 32 restaurants, food trucks and pop-ups around town with three goals in mind:

The past month, readers had their chance to vote on matchups via Facebook and Twitter.

The second round was just completed. I’d venture to say there were no big surprises as we made our way from 16 to 8. Essentially all of the places I thought would win, did. Now we are down to just 7 restaurants and 1 food truck.

Below you’ll find which eateries advanced to the El-Eat 8! Voting should get pretty exciting from here on out as we find out who advances to the Final 4 starting next week! I expect to see some good BBQ debates.

REMEMBER, the results of this post don’t necessarily mean they are the best BBQ, but more of which place has the most online support, thus Most Liked. So if your favorite place doesn’t win, please cry to your parents….. not me. This all comes down to social media support on Facebook and Twitter, where the voting will be held. In the end, I hope you can find some new BBQ options you may have never heard of or tried! And just like the previous bracket, I will not be voting in any bracket. This will be left strictly to the general audience.
