Mistletoe is a semiparasitic plant that grows on several types of common trees such as apple, oak, pine, and elm. Mistletoe extract has been used since ancient times to treat many ailments.
Mistletoe is one of the most widely studied complementary and alternative medicine therapies in people with cancer. In certain European countries, preparations made from European mistletoe are among the most prescribed drugs for patients with cancer. <o: P>

Whole plant mainly contains flavonoid compounds: Rhamnazin, rhamnzin-3-O-beta-D-glucoside, isorhamnetin-3-O-beta-D-glucoside, isorhamnetin-7-O-beta-D-glucoside, viscumneoside I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, triterpenes: Beta-amyranol, beta-acetylamyranol, beta-amyrandiol, lupeol, oleanolic acid and betulic acid, etc.; And other glycosides, like syringin, glucose[syringenin-O-beta-D-apio-furanosyl 1→2 -beta-D-glucopyranoside]etc.
