With spring right around the corner, now’s the time to start planting—or sprucing up your home’s interior

As February approaches, the temperatures continue to inch their way up, leading to hints of spring in the air. Some areas around Atlanta are already seeing blooming trees and daffodils sprouting up from the ground.

Sure, there’s still the possibility we’ll see a cold snap before spring arrives in its full glory, but now is the time to start preparing your garden for when that time comes.

Cleaning out flowerbeds, pruning trees, and preparing flower containers are just the start to the year’s growing season. For certain plants and trees, now is also the time to start planting.

Of course, this is also a great time for sprucing up your Atlanta interiors with houseplants and kitchen gardens. For those who want to get started, but don’t know where to start, the experts at these gardening and plant stores can help guide your path.

Located in Grant Park, this nursery carries rare, underutilized, and hard-to-find plants as well as the region’s most popular plants, shrubs, and trees. This includes edible herbs (not that kind), vegetables, and fruit trees. The staff can even help design and install your garden for you.

All wreaths, swags, poinsettias, and Christmas trees are now 50% off! We also have a nice selection of potted plants, perfect for the plant lover on you list! Come on through and grab those last-minute holiday items, it's not too late! . #christmas #holidaysale #plantatlanta

Although this nursery is OTP, it’s certainly worth the drive for its selection of Japanese maples and conifers. These trees do quite well in the Atlanta area and provide beautiful color to any garden or yard, particularly in fall. The staff also is knowledgeable in planting and caring for these trees, so don’t be afraid to ask for guidance.

Acer palmatum 'Baldsmith' is among a special group of lace leaf Japanese Maples that maintain various degrees of red, green, and pink throughout the seasons. #Japanesemaples #laceleafs #dissectums Learn More: http://ow.ly/PX8S50xRx4n Availability: http://ow.ly/flYz50xRx4C Call to order: 770-987-4066
