A Fortnite Zero Week Quest instructs players to plant or summon Reality Saplings using Reality Seeds, and this guide is here to help.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3's Zero Week Quests give players the opportunity to earn some fast XP, and there are seven of them in total. While a majority of these challenges are quite straightforward in their instruction, there are a few that may seem slightly confusing upon first glance. For example, the quest that centers around using Reality Seeds to plant or summon Reality Saplings in Fortnite may leave some players scratching their heads, and this guide is here to offer clarity on how to address this task.

The first step toward completing this Zero Week Quest in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is to locate some Reality Seeds, and they can be found in Reality Falls on the west side of the map. More specifically, players should set their sights on the Reality Tree in that area, and its precise position has been marked on the map that is below. Upon arriving at this special tree, fans should look for purple pods, which have sparkles emanating from the top, near its base and on its roots.

Once a pod has been located, players should begin striking it with their harvesting tools in Fortnite. Just a few hits will be enough to cause the pod to explode and send several Reality Seeds into the air. Fans must now simply wait for the seeds to float down to the ground, and they should approach them and press the input that appears onscreen to collect them when that occurs.

With some Reality Seeds in hand, Fortnite fans should equip the items by selecting the inventory slot where they are being held. Players should then aim a Seed at the ground to cause an outline of a Reality Sapling to appear. If that is outline is blue, then the targeted spot is suitable for planting Reality Seeds, and players should feel free to throw one. By contrast, a red outline means that a Reality Sapling cannot be grown in the selected position.

To note, players can visit the Reality Saplings that they plant in this fashion in subsequent matches. In fact, there is an incentive for fans to do exactly that, as it is possible to obtain rare Fortnite weapons from these plants. While players will need to pick some weeds in order to receive a gun from their Reality Saplings, that is a very simple thing to do and should only take a few seconds.

Fortnite is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
