Purple ribbons receive $1, blue ribbons receive $.75, red ribbons receive $.50 and white ribbons receive $.25. Coveted sweepstakes awards come with a $10 prize. Select static exhibits from Fremont County 4-H’ers will advance to the Iowa State Fair. Judging at the 2022 Fremont County Fair took place in the McElroy Building. Conference judging, or face-to-face interviews between the judge and exhibitor, is used on static day for all participants. In Family and Consumer Science, Carter Phipps (W.M.P.) advanced with two exhibits – a peacock wreath in home improvement and peanut butter blossom cookies. Madeleine Travis (Silver Skylarks) will send her chocolate cake to the Iowa State Fair in food and nutrition. Levi Johnson (Riverside Rockets) advanced in clothing and fashion with his purchased item. Levi also advances with his consumer management entry. Malea Moore (Riverside Rockets) advanced with her sewing and needle art constructed item. Lana Alley (Riverside Rockets) will send her poster to the state fair in the poster communication category. In the area of ag and natural resources two entries advanced. Claire Korver (Riverside Rockets) brought a horse body language poster in animal science. Malea Moore (Riverside Rockets) advances with her succulent planter made from a hog feeder in horticulture and plant science. In Personal Development, Nathan Stenzel (Washington P.E.P.) advanced with his glass bottle box. Lana Alley (Riverside Rockets) advanced with her emotional support animal display. In Science, Engineering and Technology, four exhibits advance to the Iowa State Fair. Brookelyn Billingsley (Riverside Rockets) advanced with her night light socks. Blake Schaaf (Riverside Rockets) will send his Dewalt toolbox organizer to the state fair. Nora Martin (W.M.P.) created a wooden octagon planter box that was selected. Brody Schaaf (Riverside Rockets) will send his outdoor porch swing. In Creative Arts, Summer Maher (W.M.P.) will advance with her charcoal gift bow drawing. Abigail Martin (W.M.P.) advances with her dog picture. In Photography, the following were selected: Jenna Hall (Washington P.E.P.), Carter Phipps (W.M.P.), Abigail Martin (W.M.P.), Lana Alley (Riverside Rockets)-2, Brookelynn Billingsley (Riverside Rockets), Noah Howe (Riverside Rockets) and Levi Johnson (Riverside Rockets).
